Summer Soiree & Wine Tasting at Baker’s Family Wines
Dusty Baker’s life has been defined by crossroads, and now you can raise a glass to the story. Join FEI Sacramento for a guided wine tasting at Baker Family Wines, complete with a signed copy of Crossroads and an evening built around the memoir, the wine, and the man behind both.
Dusty’s memoir traces the big turns and hard-earned lessons that shaped his life. From family conflict and financial battles to cancer, racism, and a career that made him one of baseball’s most respected voices, it offers a powerful look at the road he traveled.
That’s what makes this event so compelling. This unique tasting is a chance to sip the wine while stepping into the story behind it.
Guests will also hear from winemaker and partner Chik Brenneman, making this a rare, intimate night of wine, storytelling, and connection. And if you want to keep the energy going, line dancing will cap off the evening!
Summer Soiree & Wine Tasting will be held at Baker Family Wines in West Sacramento on Wednesday, August 26th, from 4:30 pm - 6:30 pm Pacific.

CalChamber Launches Statewide Campaign to Oppose AB 1776
The California Chamber of Commerce recently launched a sustained statewide public awareness campaign highlighting the potentially devastating economic impacts of what they call a "misguided legislative proposal to change California’s landmark antitrust law."
The multimillion-dollar effort builds on CalChamber’s ongoing opposition to Assembly Bill 1776 (Aguiar-Curry; D-Winters), a bill that would expose businesses of all sizes to a wave of lawsuits – while supposedly solving a problem that CalChamber believes the bill’s supporters have never identified after some six months of public hearings.
The campaign’s initial 30-second ad highlights how AB 1776 would raise prices, kill customer discounts and price matching programs, and create substantial compliance burdens that could bankrupt small business owners and wipe out jobs in communities across the state.
